RESULTS: Illuminar Gaming Take Down GamersOrigin 2-0 to Advance to EU Masters Finals

The Polish underdogs have managed to claim a spot in the Grand Finals of the EU Masters series, after their spectacular takedown of GamersOrigin earlier today.

Their first match started strong, with IHG taking the first Dragon to gain an early lead. GO managed to fire back after claiming first blood in the mid lane, however IHG answered with a kill in the bot lane shortly after. GO continued to pressure the lanes, diving top to claim another kill, while IHG responded by continuing to control the neutral objectives, picking up their second Dragon of the match. The teams clashed over the Rift Herald, with GO picking up the buff, but IHG continued to dominate the bot lane, scoring another kill there. GO used the Rift Herald to secure the mid lane tower, before rotating to pick up their first Dragon of the match. IHG applied pressure in the top lane to pick up two more kills before moving towards the Baron pit where another confrontation allowed them to pick up two more kills. The teams clashed over the next Dragon, with IHG claiming the buff and three more kills before rotating towards Baron once more. IHG secured the Baron buff before pushing in hard on the bot lane where they picked up three kills and broke open the base. GamersOrigin could not hold them back, as Illuminar Gaming crushed the base defences and ended the game.

The second match again got off to a good start for Illuminar Gaming, scoring first blood with a jungle gank. GamersOrigin responded with an attack on the bot lane to score a kill of their own, before rotating towards the Dragon. IHG got revenge in the bot lane with another gank, while GO responded with a kill in the top lane. IHG continued to pressure bot side, scoring another kill and taking down the first tower, before both teams clashed again in the top lane.  The teams regrouped before clashing again at the Dragon pit, with IHG rapidly securing four kills before taking the Dragon for themselves. As the teams fought in the mid lane once more, IHG were able to pick up another three kills before both teams withdrew to reset. The teams continued to skirmish across the map, scoring kills on both sides, before a major team fight around the Baron pit saw IHG almost wipe GO off the map before they attempted the Baron. Continuing to assert their dominance, IHG destroyed GO in a skirmish in the river before pushing in to break open the base of GO.  With little standing in their way, it wasn’t long before IHG had taken down the remaining members of GO, and ended the game to send themselves to the Grand Final of the EU Masters.
