KingRichard Joins Team EnVyUs As Their Fortnite Esports Captain

Team EnVyUs have teams across most of the top competitive games right now and have been successful across the board, with world beating teams in Call of Duty, CS:GO, Rocket League and more. Fortnite has been the game on everyone’s lips lately, and they’ve jumped into the title early as players around the world anticipate news on Fortnite’s upcoming competitive season. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins represents Luminosity, while Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani dons the Team SoloMid jersey, and now KingRichard will stream and play under the Team EnVyUs banner.

He has over 570,000 followers on Twitch with almost 10 million total views, along with almost 40,000 followers on Twitter. He’s also the current world record holder for the most kills in one game without taking any damage whatsoever, with 19 kills. Along with playing for Team EnVyUs competitively, he’s going to keep up his stream schedule, and EnVy have created an announcement video you can watch above.

"Richard's personality and top-level gameplay make for a great match. We are thrilled to support him in expanding his brand and the authentic connections he makes with fans. We know the future of the EnVy name in Fortnite is in good hands," said Mike Rufail, owner and CEO at Team EnVyUs.

One of KingRichard’s most impressive moments came in the tweet you can see above, where he used the now-vaulted Guided Missile to rocket ride himself, then snipe his final opponent in a solo match, finishing with 13 kills overall.

He’s not the only player to be signed to a Fortnite team recently, as Team Secret recruited a 13-year-old to the organisation, which has, as expected, caused some controversy. We talked about how young is too young to be an esports player here, and we’ve got a guide to unlocking a secret battle pass tier here.
