RESULTS: Boston Uprising Fight Hard To Beat LA Gladiators
By Zac Cameron ·
The Boston squad faced a tough battle to claim victory over the Los Angeles Gladiators.

Though the battles were tough, the Boston Uprising have managed to come out ahead in this match, taking down the Los Angeles Gladiators to maintain their dominance on the standings. Here’s a brief breakdown of the series.
The first map, Volskaya Industries, was something of an uphill climb for the Gladiators, facing down a tough defence from the Boston squad. Though they were able to secure the first point, the battles for the second point were long and arduous, and Los Angeles only managed to claim the objective with very little time remaining, a potential problem when facing the Boston Uprising. The attack from Boston was much smoother, as they seemed to roll over the defences from LA to secure the first point. Carrying their momentum onwards, Boston captured the second point with plenty of time remaining, a distinct advantage over their opponents. The second attack from the Gladiators was not a success, as they were rebuffed in their assault and failed to capture the point. This meant that Boston had over four and a half minutes to secure just a third of the zone, a feat they easily accomplished to claim the first map.
The second map, Numbani, was a short and crushing match between these two teams. LA had the first attack, and found getting to the point to be a significant challenge. Though they were able to touch the point at times, they were unable to secure the point, forced to end the round with nothing to their name. the attack from Boston was quick and to the point, pushing LA back from the start and securing the required amount in under a minute to claim the second map of the series.
The third map, Nepal, was the opportunity for Los Angeles to gain some revenge on Boston. Boston were able to stomp the first round, capturing the zone while preventing LA from claiming any percentage for themselves. The second round was much better for Los Angeles, as they kept Boston to a low 38% before winning the round themselves. The final round was much closer, however Los Angeles again came out on top, keeping Boston to 85% as they claimed the third map for themselves and kept their series hopes alive.
The fourth map, Route 66, the final map was a back and forth battle between both teams. Los Angeles struck first, advancing the payload through the course to reach the final checkpoint with seconds to spare as they looked to keep the series alive. The Boston attack was much more direct, pushing the payload through the Gladiators defence to reach the end of the map with much more time in the bank, setting up an overtime showdown. The second attack from LA was acceptable given their time frame, as they pushed past the first checkpoint only to find themselves blocked before the second point by the Boston defence. Boston’s attack was more successful, but not by a lot, as they were also able to battle through their opponents defences to reach the required distance in overtime.
With this 3-1 victory, Boston keep a nice lead over the rest of the pack as they aim for a top spot finish in Stage 3. For more on where the teams are sitting on the ladder, check out the Official Schedule page, here, and for more on yesterday’s games, check out the recaps, here.
