By Nicholas Barth ·
The Boston Uprising made Overwatch League history last night, as they became the first team to collect a perfect record in a stage.
Last night saw the Boston Uprising become the first team in Overwatch League history to finish a stage with a perfect 10-0 record, as they collected their 10th win of Stage 3 with a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Gladiators. Boston entered the inuagural season of the Overwatch League being heavily criticized for the supposed lack of strength of its roster. However, the Boston Uprising showed that they had the talent to compete with the rest of the league by finishing 6-4 in both Stage 1 and Stage 2, but Stage 3 saw the Uprising step up their Overwatch play to the highest level the community has ever seen in route to their perfect 10-0 record.

Boston was able to achieve the historic achievement even with the loss of one of their most talented members in DPS player Jonathan "DreamKazper" Sanchez, as the former Boston Uprising player was removed from the team due to accusations of engaging in sexual misconduct with a minor.
Uprising tank player Young-Jin "Gamsu" Noh explained in a Overwatch League story that the entire team was motivated to secure the history defining win against the Los Angeles Gladiators. "Our team wanted to make history. No one had gone 10-0 yet, so we were like, ‘Let’s go 10-0 and win the Stage 3 title to become the best team," said Gamsu.
The perfect 10-0 record secures the Uprising's spot as the number one seed in Sunday's Stage 3 playoffs. Boston will await to play the winner of the 2nd and 3rd seed match for the right to claim the title of Stage 3 Overwatch League Champions and the lion's share of the $125,000 prize pool.
