Overwatch League recaps day 2 of week 3, stage 4
By Zac Cameron ·
As the Overwatch League continues week 3 of stage 4, we've got all the action covered as the teams look for better positioning heading towards playoffs.

With these games now finished, we’ve finished the first half of Week 3, Stage 4. In fact, we’re now into the second half of Stage 4 overall, so it’s a nice standing point to see where these teams have ended up. Here’s a brief breakdown of the series from day 2 of week 3, stage 4.
London Spitfire vs Boston Uprising
The first match of the day was a close contest between the London Spitfire and the Boston Uprising. Both teams could really use a win today, and though the battles were fierce, it was ultimately London who came out on top, taking down Boston 2-1. This may seem an odd number given that the games of the Overwatch League are typically 4 in number, but the clash between London and Boston were so close on the second map, Horizon Lunar Colony, that the teams actually drew overall.
San Francisco Shock vs Dallas Fuel
A relatively expected outcome between these two teams as San Francisco claimed victory 3-1 over Dallas. The real surprise of the match came in the second map, Hanamura, where Dallas seemed to play like a completely different team, dominating San Francisco in their victory that saw both teams playing the map multiple times. Despite their strong showing here however, Dallas could not compete overall, as they once more suffered defeat on the main stage.
Philadelphia Fusion vs Los Angeles Gladiators
Eagerly looking for a comeback after losing in yesterday’s series, the Los Angeles Gladiators left nothing on the field in their victory over Philadelphia today. The Fusion had the early lead after claiming the first map, but the Gladiators quickly pulled it back under control as they claimed the next three maps easily enough to maintain their high position on the ladder.
There isn’t a whole lot of time left for these teams to improve their standings, with every series meaning more than the previous ones.
