PUBG Gets an Official Launch Date for XBOX, Winter Map Teased

We’re always getting new information with the big press conferences at E3 2018, and it seems even the games that are already out aren’t safe from new reveals. PUBG is getting the official launch for the Xbox, and it seems it’s bringing a few new surprises with it.

The maps seem optimized and they look great, and it seems we’re even getting a new winter style map as well. In addition, we’ve seen some cool new toys to play with, such as a riot shield. We don’t have a lot of details on the riot shield beyond what’s seen in the trailer for now, but it certainly looks like the beloved pan, but much bigger in size. The third map, called Sanhok currently in testing on PC, is due to launch on PC later this month, but the sizzle reel for Xbox also revealed that the map would be coming later this year, much sooner than anticipated.

It was also revealed that the popular War Mode, the squad based Deathmatch mode from the PC version which supports faster, more aggressive gameplay, would be coming to Xbox in the near future, along with more of their variant game types. The trailer looks a lot smoother than we’re used to seeing on Xbox right now, so fingers crossed the optimization teams have worked their magic to make the Xbox release look great.

Here’s the full trailer that was shown at the event.
