During the E3 2018 Nintendo press conference, Fortnite Battle Royale was officially announced for the Nintendo Switch.

Today, Nintendo and Epic Games officially announced that Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch and will be available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop at 10 AM PST, during the E3 2018 Nintendo press conference. Fortnite Battle Royale will be free to all Nintendo Switch players to join in the battle royale fun and capture some victory royales.
The subject of Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch has been a major point of speculation leading up to E3 2018 with a leak yesterday showing that Fortnite had been uploaded to the Switch's eShop.
In addition to yesterday's datamined leak, the battle royale title for the console had been given an official rating by the Korean Game Ratings Board and a developer job posting that had mentioned the studio's work on this specific version of Fortnite both had given weight to the idea of Epic Games' popular battle royale game being added the library of the hybrid mobile console.
Epic Games also stated on Twitter that the newly announced version of its battle royale game will feature cross play between the Xbox One, PC, MAC and IOS. With the success of the game's cross play capabilities having been clearly evident since they were implemented by Epic Games, it is not surprising to see the latest version of Fortnite be given the same treatment. However, this version of the battle royale title will not be able to cross play with Playstation 4 players in the same way that Xbox One players are not able to and continues the stance of Sony to not allow cross play on the PS4 with other consoles.
Now it has finally been confirmed that Fortnite will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Tuesday, June 12th at 10 AM PST. The battle royale title that has taken over the video game industry will now be on of the few titles that is available on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, MAC, Nintendo Switch and Mobile IOS devices with a release on Android devices set for the near future.
