The Shanghai Dragons Have Failed To Win a Single Series in the Overwatch League

It’s been a long and hard road, but with the regular season of the Overwatch League now finished, we can say that, sadly, the Shanghai Dragons have failed to win a single series over the course of the tournament. Four Stages, each with Five Weeks, with Two games played a week, gives us the end result of 0-40 for the Shanghai Dragons, the worst single season in esports history.

Fans have been rallying behind this squad for months now, but unfortunately they could not pull through where it counted, only managing to win individual maps, but never a complete series. They came close a couple of times, on several occasions forcing a series to go to overtime map five, but never managing to close out when it mattered most.

0-40. It is done.

As the sole representative from China, there was a natural fan-base built in as they took on the West and Korean teams, however the team itself was forced to go through a sort of metamorphosis midway through the season, importing several highly skilled Korean players in an attempt to bolster their weak spots. Unfortunately, even the new and improved roster could not find the success they were looking for, causing many to wonder exactly what they needed to do in order to find their first victory.

Error 040 win not found.

The best hope for the team will be to use the off-season to rebuild around a core group of skilled players, as well as work out any problems that may have faced, such as translation issues and visa problems.
