By Zac Cameron ·
We've got the breakdown of the games from the Overwatch League Stage 4 Semi-Finals, as the teams look towards the main event.

With the regular season now complete, all that’s left is for the Stage 4 playoffs to conclude, and then we can look towards the Overwatch League Inaugural Season Playoffs to really kick things into high gear. With two high octane matches played out already today, we can’t wait to see how the Grand Finals will unfold. Here’s a brief breakdown of the Semi-Final matches already played.
Los Angeles Valiant vs Los Angeles Gladiators
It’s always a pleasure to watch the two sister teams from Los Angeles clash in the Overwatch League, as they’ve fully embraced the “Battle for Los Angeles” hype that so many look forward to. Going the full five games, this series had ups and downs for fans of both teams, however only one would be able to advance to the Grand Final. The Los Angeles Valiant scored first, claiming the first map, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, with a devastating performance. Not to be outdone, the Gladiators fired back on map two, Horizon Lunar Colony, to even out the score, and make the series interesting. The Gladiators showed a dominant performance on the third map, Lijiang Tower, as they aimed to close out the series early, however the Valiant managed to secure the fourth map, King’s Row, to send the series to game five. The final map, Dorado, showcased the Valliant’s strong defensive skills, as they held off their opponents to claim victory and book a spot in the Grand Finals.
Dallas Fuel vs New York Excelsior
The second Semi-Final series was another showstopper, as these two teams also went the full distance to find victory. The first map, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, was claimed by New York as they looked to set an early pace for the match. The second map, Horizon Lunar Colony, also swung in the favor of New York, giving Dallas fans a very real fear of an incoming sweep. Fortunately for fans of the Fuel, Dallas were able to claim map number three, Lijiang Tower, and map number four, King’s Row, with relative ease, sending the clash into the decider map five, Dorado. The final battle was protracted and fierce, however Dallas could not overcome the last ditch burst of power from New York, falling in the final moments.
With these two matches concluded, we’re faced with a showdown of epic proportions, as the Los Angeles Valiant take on the New York Excelsior for the Grand Final prize of Stage 4.
