By Zac Cameron ·
Two of the biggest franchises on the Xbox are coming together for a massive event this weekend.
This coming weekend two Xbox’s most celebrated and legendary franchises are set to descend onto New Orleans for a unique esports crossover event. Major League Gaming (MLG), The Coalition and 343 Industries are set to join forces to present the Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series in a conjoined esports extravaganza.
The event is set to take place from Friday July 13th to Sunday July 15th at the New Orleans Convention Center with the competition kicking off at 4pm PDT / 2pm CDT with the coverage streaming on live.gearsofwar.com, Mixer.com/Halo, Twitch.tv/Halo, Twitter and Facebook.
The Gears Pro Circuit is set to be one of the most anticipated in the game’s history, after Ghost Gaming claimed their first title last month in Las Vegas to put the rest of the scene on notice. Roster shuffles for two of the other big names in the scene, OpTic Gaming and Echo Fox, are set to make waves as they strive for domination once again.
The Halo Championship Series is set to kick off in the aftermath of Splyce’s victory over TOX Gaming, with the teams looking for a chance at revenge and glory for themselves. New additions to the league such as Forge maps and Oddball will be sure to keep the competition interesting in the games to come.
