NA LCS Match Recaps for Day 1 of Week 6
By Zac Cameron ·
If you missed any of the action as the NA LCS kicked off week 6 of the Summer Split, we've got the results here.

The teams of the NA LCS are beginning to get down and serious as we approach the end of the Summer Split. Some of these teams have stepped up their game, while others are still looking for the right combination of players and compositions. Here’s a brief breakdown of the games.
TSM vs Cloud9
The opening match of the day saw Cloud9 take an aggressive opening stance. Though the teams remained fairly even in gold through much of the game, Cloud9 certainly dictated the pace of the game with their superior objective control. TSM never really seemed to find their footing in this clash, leaving Cloud9 the opening they needed to sweep several team fights and ultimately claim victory.
CLG vs OpTic Gaming
A dominant performance out of OpTic Gaming today, with CLG struggling to keep up for much of the game. OpTic’s objective control was on point as they out-maneuvered CLG at almost every stage of the game. There was a moment where CLG could have staged a comeback after they secured the Baron buff for themselves, however OpTic was simply too far ahead to be challenged by this stage as they cleaned house and ended the game.
Echo Fox vs Flyquest
Echo Fox put their newly revamped roster to good use in this showdown as they easily built a lead through the early and mid-game. Flyquest were simply caught unawares in this particular engagement as Echo Fox showcased their team fighting and objective mastery to their full extent. If they can keep this performance up, this new Echo Fox squad could prove to be the strongest team right now.
Golden Guardians vs Team Liquid
A much closer match than was expected saw the Golden Guardians take a very early lead thanks to their team fighting prowess. Both teams were forced into a stalemate type situation, as they both proved capable of securing objectives and eliminating their opponents across the map. Eventually, the tide turned in the favor of Team Liquid as they found their bearings and began to demonstrate the skill that allowed them to win the Spring Split.
Clutch Gaming vs 100 Thieves
A long match to close out the day saw 100 Thieves eventually tire of their clash with Clutch Gaming. Though Clutch put up a valiant effort, 100 Thieves were in total control of the game from the outset, though they seemed unwilling to commit to the final push needed to claim victory. Eventually, top laner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho took it upon himself to close out the game and give his team the win.
With these games wrapped up for the day, some of these teams will need to go back to the drawing board before they square off again tomorrow. For more on when these teams will face off again, check out the official schedule page, here.
