Training Mode, New Sanhok Vehicle & MK47 Mutant Released In PUBG Patch #21

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has released its 21st major patch today and it brings a plethora of changes, some of which are very exciting indeed. First up is the introduction of Training Mode, a small 2x2 map where up to 20 players can fight it out to practice their shooting and get used to other mechanics. Players are unable to drop below 1hp, so nobody can die and each match lasts for 30 minutes. Check out the short trailer below.

On Sanhok, there’s a new vehicle available called the Tukshai. It has three seats, so if you’re in squads, your fourth player is going to have to do some running. It’s slower than the other vehicles available but it’ll do the job in a pinch.

There’s a brand new assault rifle in the game now too, called the MK47 Mutant. It takes 7.62mm bullets and can hold 20 rounds (or 30 with an extended mag), it can shoot in single-fire or two-shot bursts, and it’s compatible with almost every attachment except for stocks.

That means it’s also able to use the new Laser Sight attachment which reduces bullet spread when hip-firing and soft-aiming. It can be attached to any weapon with a lower rail, but it does mean you’ll have to forego a grip to utilise it. PUBG Corp have said they’re aware of a current bug which stops the Laser Sight from showing up in death cams and they’re working on it.

Much like Fortnite’s daily challenges, there’s a similar function in PUBG now too called the Supply System. You’re given various objectives and missions to try and complete each game and as a reward, you can earn XP and in-game items. Reddit user /u/TylerDoom1 has claimed that the items earned in-game are only temporary though, and you’ll lose them after seven days which is disappointing.

There’s plenty more in this update including changes to the UI, how the blue zone looks, a restructure of the BP system and more. You can read everything on the official news post from PUBG Corp here. In other battle royale news, the High Stakes event in Fortnite has been delayed until tomorrow, but here’s what you can expect from the mode.
