It looks like PUBG will be coming to PS4 at some point soon as the game has been spotted on the Korean ratings board.

PUBG PS4 Leaked Through Korean Ratings Board Listing

PUBG has been a world-beating battle royale game for some time now, kicking things off in Early Access on PC before being ported to Xbox One and mobile devices. It’s had a turbulent time on Xbox, with numerous bugs and glitches plaguing the game, worse than it’s been on PC. Nevertheless, it looks like PUBG Corp & Bluehole are going to be taking the game to PlayStation 4 if a recent addition to the Korean ratings board is anything to go by.

Initially reported by Game Informer, Google Translate tells us the title is “PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS PS4 (Battleground)”. It was added on September 19 and is classed as “Not For Youth” - a smart decision if you ask us.

When the game was announced for Xbox One, Microsoft made it clear that PUBG was a “Console Launch Exclusive”, which simply meant that there’s nothing stopping it from coming to other consoles (i.e PS4 - we doubt we’ll see it on the Switch) in the future. Chang Han Kim, CEO of PUBG Corp, has since said that the decision to go with Xbox One initially was down to their acceptance of early access titles. PS4 has no such program, which means the game needed to be further along in development for them to release it for Sony’s console.

Hopefully the unofficial confirmation of a PS4 version means the game is going to be receiving some much needed fixes on console. It’s performed much better on PC as of late so hopefully that will carry over to the console versions of the game. In other PUBG news, the game recently hit 1 million concurrent players for an entire year! Patch 21 also recently came out for the PC version which introduced a number of new things including the MK47 Mutant assault rifle, Tukshai vehicle and the long-awaited Training Mode.
