What Just Happened in Fortnite? New Leaky Lake Made by Cube Butterfly Event

Sunday, November 4th saw Epic Games implement another one time live event for Fortnite with Kevin the purple cube being at the center of the major game changing event. From the purple cube powering up and completely being destroyed to players being transported to what looked to be another dimension where a butterfly effect looked to have orchestrated the creation of a new leaky lake, there was plenty to see in the cube event that took place on Sunday and has many players asking one simple question.

What Just Happened in Fortnite?

Beginning at 1 PM ET on Sunday, Kevin the purple cube began to spin and power up. After a few seconds of the Fortnite cube event seeing Kevin spin an explosion took place that transported players to another area where a butterfly effect took place, as multiple blue butterflies who look to be composed of pure energy floated around.

Each player was then treated to a cut scene where a butterfly flew to their finger and transported them back to the map of Fortnite. It was then revealed that the Fortnite cube event that ended the Fortnitemares 2018 Halloween themed event had created a new Leaky Lake, while Kevin and the floating island had disappeared.

You can watch the entire spectacle that saw a mysterious butterfly effect take place that resulted in a new Leaky Lake being created below thanks to Shacknews.

It remains to be seen what exactly else in the world of Fortnite was changed thanks to the one time live event and its butterfly effect besides the creation of a new Leaky Lake and the seemingly death of Kevin the purple cube.

What just happened in Fortnite? That will be the question the community for the massively popular battle royale title from Epic Games will likely be asking for the rest of today in regards to the live cube event, its butterfly effect and a new Leaky Lake.
