Fortnite Football Skins Coming This Week With NFL Partnership
By Ford James ·
Players can buy NFL skins for their favorite football teams later this week in the Fortnite store, Epic Games has announced.
Over the summer, Epic Games released a series of soccer skins for Fortnite to coincide with the 2018 World Cup. They were all national teams, so unfortunately we couldn’t run around as players for Manchester United or Real Madrid, but players could represent (most of) the world cup nations. Now Fortnite has partnered with the NFL to bring American Football skins to the game.
On November 9 at 7pm Eastern, 33 Fortnite football skins will be released to the in-game store. There’s 32 real team football skins, along with one exclusive unique Fortnite skin. Epic announced the news with the following video.

We don’t know how much these Fortnite NFL skins will cost, but we’re expecting either 1,200 or 1,500 V-Bucks. The soccer world cup skins were 1,200, but there’s a little more to the NFL ones with the helmets and all so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them a little more expensive. It’s confirmed that like the soccer skins, you can customise them with any number from 1-99. There will also be emotes, harvesting tools, gliders and even a referee skin to support the main bulk of Fortnite football skins.
We’re not surprised this has finally happened. A number of professional football players in the NFL are known for playing Fortnite regularly such as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Eric Ebron and Kyle Long. Soon enough we’ll probably see baseball skins too - we known Trevor May would be a fan given how much he plays with Ninja!
“We see the popularity of Fortnite every day at the NFL as many of our players are passionate about this game,” NFL chief media and business officer Brian Rolapp said in a press release. “This partnership represents a great opportunity for millions of NFL fans who are Fortnite players to express their fandom inside the game while at the same time exposing our brand to countless others.”
