SKT T1 Reveals Roster Status of Lee Faker Sang-hyeon

The world of professional League of Legends had its eyes on the situation unfolding between legendary player Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeon and his long time organization of SKT Telecom T1, as the contract for the player had expired on Monday, November 19th. This left members of the community asking one simple question. Is Faker leaving SKT T1?

There was plenty of speculation regarding the potential leaving of the player from the team, especially with the organization releasing a majority of its players, when the star player's contract had officially expired. However, SKT T1 has finally announced the roster and contract status for Faker ahead of the 2019 season for professional League of Legends.

The news of who many consider to be the greatest player of all time staying on the League of Legends team for the well known organization likely has squashed the fears that fans of the team had of him potentially leaving to find a newer one to compete on.

While Faker has become arguably the greatest professional League of Legends player of all time during his time with SKT T1 that has included three world championships, the latest season for Faker on SKT T1 was a disaster, as the organization failed to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship for the first time in history and finished 7th overall in the LCK. This rough season had many members of the community pondering the idea that the star player may look for opportunities in North America or Europe where he could sign a very lucrative deal and make a team a contender instantly.

However, Faker and SKT T1 have decided to stick together and rekindle the level of play that saw a Faker led SKT T1 team win Worlds three times and cemented themselves as a League of Legends dynasty. With their star player now having his spot on the roster solidified, the organization will now be looking to fill out the remaining roster spots in order to build a championship level team once again around Faker, Effort and Leo.
