Froggen Returns To The NALCS With The Golden Guardians

After a year away from the competitive scene, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen is making his return to the NA LCS for the 2019 season, signing with the Golden Guardians as their starting mid laner. Once considered to be in the running for the best mid laner in the world, Froggen is set to once again capture the attention and admiration of fans as he returns to his first competitive season since his minor sting with Origen in the European Masters earlier this year.

With the news that Froggen has joined the roster, the Golden Guardians are now sporting a fairly stacked roster in all areas, with former TSM top laner Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell, former Team Liquid support Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung, and returning Golden Guardians players AD carry Matthew “Deftly” Chen and jungler Juan “Contractz” Arturo Garcia.

The last time Froggen was in the NA LCS studio, he wore the jersey of Echo Fox in the 2017 Summer Split. Since his departure from the team, he opted to focus on building his stream and personal brand, with his only real competitive experience coming back in April when he helped lead Origen to victory in the European Masters tournament. The Golden Guardians have also picked up former Echo Fox coach Nick “Inero” Smith, meaning they will be well and truly prepared for the 2019 season.
