How To Get The Infinity Blade Sword In Fortnite

The Infinity Blade is now in Fortnite for the first ever sword and melee weapon - other than the pickaxe. Here's how you get it.

How To Get The Infinity Blade Sword In Fortnite

We’ve already reported on the Fortnite Infinity Blade twice in the last few days, but now that it’s in the game, how do you get it? It’s the first Fortnite sword we’ve seen that isn’t a harvesting tool, but there’s only one Infinity Blade on the Fortnite map. There’s only one per match too, and you can’t get it from chests, so where is the Infinity Blade in Fortnite and how do you get the Fortnite Infinity Blade?

To get the Fortnite Infinity Blade, you need to go to Polar Peak. This is one of the new locations on the map, found in the snowy south-west corner. Underneath all the snow is the castle that arrived on the iceberg at the start of Fortnite Season 7, so the popular theory is that the snow will melt throughout the season to reveal the full castle.

You’ll find the huge sword in the middle of Polar Peak, lodged in the ground. To get the Infinity Blade, you need to approach and interact with it. Be careful though because other players can attack you while you’re pulling the huge weapon out of the floor, so either make sure you’ve got enough time to grab it or clear your enemies from the immediate vicinity first.

When you wield the Infinity Blade, you gain powers similar to Thanos from the limited time mode earlier this year. Your health and shield is buffed to 400 in total, and you receive gradual health regeneration, along with an instant +30 health for every enemy you kill. On top of that, you move at 130% speed so you can catch up with anyone trying to flee from your wrath.

Beware though that once you pick up the Infinity Blade, you’re essentially locked in. Picking it up means you drop your entire inventory on the spot, so if you spot a legendary SCAR and decide you want that instead for whatever reason, you won’t have anything else in your inventory except for materials. Picking it up is also a full heal though, like an instant Chug Jug, so it’s more than worth it.
