Khan Wanted To Join SKT Before He Even Knew The Roster

The signing of Kim “Khan” Dang-ha was something of a surprise when it was revealed just a few weeks ago, as SK Telecom looked to bounce back from a horrendous year in competitive League of Legends by building a new stronger team around their star mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. Now, an interview released by the organization with Khan has revealed that he was prepared to join the SKT roster without knowing who he would be playing with in 2019.

“At first I didn’t know [who else was on the roster],” Khan told SKT. “I’m not trying to pick and choose who I play with. Rather, I came because I know SKT has a high standard, and I found out about my teammates after I joined.”

Khan has been regarded as one of the best players in the world in League of Legends, maintaining one of the highest K/D ratios in Korea since the 2017 Summer Split thanks to his aggressive playstyle. Now that Khan has joined Faker and star support player Cho “Mata” Se-hyeong, SK Telecom is looking like the strongest team in the world right now. Fans will be hoping that SKT can reverse their fortunes suffered in 2018 and go on another tear through the competitive scene to pick up more World Championships and add more stars to their team’s logo.
