PewDiePie Questions Pokimane Copystrike YouTube Video Response
By Nicholas Barth ·
Popular YouTube PewDiePie has questioned the response by Twitch streamer Pokimane in her YouTube video addressing the copystrike controversy that she has been in the middle of.

One of the largest controversies that has currently caught the eye of the YouTube and Twitch communities has been the copystrike controversy surrounding popular Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys regarding a video focused on a Twitter argument she engaged in with YouTuber Daniel "KEEMSTAR" Keem and other videos a Twitch compilation channel has created with clips from her Twitch stream.
Top YouTuber Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg had given his thoughts on the situation in a recent video where he discussed the Pokimane situation and what he believed was the hypocritical nature of Twitch streamers who copystrike YouTube videos for using footage from their streams when they often watch YouTube videos while streaming.
Pokimane responded to the video by PewDiePie with her own response video where she explained that she would never knowingly copystrike videos that use her content in a transformative way and that the videos at the focus of her YouTube copystrike controversy were not transformative content.
However, this response by Pokimane in her YouTube video prompted another response by PewDiePie in a recent video titled "Logan Paul STRIKES Content, Pokimane says BAD thing.. MatPat UNFORGIVABLE!" where PewDiePie claimed that Pokimane and many other popular Twitch streamers do use other people's content in non transformative ways by watching YouTube videos on their streams.
"Why should you take down videos that you deem are non-transformative," said PewDiePie. "When you have content yourself that is arguably not transformative at all?"
PewDiePie went on to give an example of this situation by showing footage of a stream of Pokimane where the streamer started playing a video from PewDiePie and then went to go to the bathroom. The owner of the most subscribed to YouTube channel on the platform did however state that he understands Twitch streamers are live for hours at a time and that is very difficult to have all of that content be completely original in that kind of situation.
