The Match To Watch For Week Two Of The LEC Spring Split

The LEC kicked off the first week of the Spring Split last week, and we’ve seen some pretty amazing games already. While not every match could be a winner, there was still plenty of action for the fans to see as the top teams from Europe battled it out for an early lead in the season. There were some upsets to be sure, after all, who would have thought Fnatic would lose two games in a best-of-one series, but there were also some expected outcomes. Now we can take a look at which match is the must-see game for week two.

There is going to be some great games on offer this week, with matches that will see newcomers taking on the old guard, and former rivals competing to see who is strongest in 2019. If you only have time for one match this week, then the game you should aim to see is the Misfits – Origen match that will close out day one of week 2.

Origen found some victories last week, though now they need to turn up the heat if they want to be considered a top team.

Misfits are a team that garnered a lot of fans in 2018 through their very impressive gameplay, though ultimately they failed to make the cut when it came to attending international results. That shouldn’t be a problem this year, as the team has made some very impressive upgrades in both the top lane and the bot lane. Their matches from week one were a very good examples of how some teams are able to just dominate their opponents.

Origen on the other hand, had a fair week one, going 1-1 overall. That said, their roster is very solid, and their coaching staff is almost unparalleled in skill, so once they get rolling, they should be very difficult to put down. Now that the week one jitters are hopefully over with, Origen should be able to provide Misfits with the challenge they need in order to keep growing as a team and not rest easy on their victories, while Misfits should provide Origen with the sounding board they need to determine exactly how good they are as a team, and what they need to do to improve. You can catch all the action on the official Twitch stream below, and this match should kick off at approximately 1pm PT.
