Twitch Streamer BadBunny Thinks Non-Subs and Donators Are Leeching

While the popular streaming platform of Twitch is completely free to use for individuals to consume content on, many individuals have utilized the platform in order to create full-time careers for themselves through the viewers of their content. Twitch has a variety of ways for viewers to support their favorite content creators in the form of being able to donate money, subscribe to a streamer's channel for a monthly fee, or watching advertisements that the streamer may play on their channel. This topic of supporting streamers on the platform was recently the focus of a statement by streamer BadBunny who stated that viewers who do not donate or subscribe are leeching.  

BadBunny Twitch Controversy

Beginning her explanation as to why she believes that Twitch viewers who do not subscribe or donate are leeches, BadBunny stated that the reason free entertainment exists is that people provide money so that someone who is a non-subscriber and donator can be a "cheap ass". 

"How are you consuming this free entertainment? Like how do you think free entertainment is available to you? It's because other people actually provide money so you can be a cheap ass. That's it," Said Twitch streamer BadBunny.

"Other people provide money because they are generous, and they see a thing they wanna support, a form of entertainment they want to support, and then you leech," BadBunny continued. "That's the reality of it. Period. If you're watching Twitch as a non-donating, non-sub, you are leeching. Does that mean you should feel bad about it? I don't know. But, the reality is that you are leeching." 

This viewpoint by the Twitch streamer was not well received by many individuals with one Twitter user even pointing out that BadBunny had two ad blockers on during her stream which would stop her from supporting content she watches by the way of helping content creators earn ad revenue.
