Twitch has joined forces with one of the most prolific esports organizations in the business, Team Liquid, in a new sponsorship deal.

Twitch & Team Liquid Join For Multi-Year Advertising Partnership

Team Liquid has been around since 2000 and amassed quite a following across the competitive gaming sphere. It continues to be a force in the League of Legends LCS, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Smash Bros, and many other scenes. So it may come as no surprise that Twitch has sought to deepen partnership with Liquid in a new multi-year advertising and sponsorship deal.

This deal was announced on February 21, 2019 via press release and across Team Liquid social media. In the deal, Twitch is set to secure exclusive sales representation for Team Liquid. Essentially, Twitch will handle sales partnerships relating to Team Liquid. In turn, Liquid enjoys even further easy access to Twitch and the promotional opportunities the platform allows in a variety of ways.

Twitch and Liquid have already enjoyed partnerships spanning nearly a decade between the multi-game competitive organization and the video streaming platform. However, this latest deal just goes to deepen the relationship between the organizations and build even more upon the groundwork that has already been set, as expressed by Twitch VP/Commercial Director of Sponsorships Kristen Salvatore.

“Team Liquid is a giant in esports, with one of the most winning records in history,” said Salvatore. “As Twitch strives to connect our trusted sponsorship partners with the esports community in more meaningful ways, working with a seasoned brand like Team Liquid offers commercial brands keen to enter the esports space the perfect opportunity to reach a savvy audience with relevant, high-quality content.”

Meanwhile, Team Liquid’s Co-CEO Steve Arhancet remains enthusiastic to grow the long relationship between his organization and Twitch even further. “Since Team Liquid’s earliest days, we’ve been focused on building strong and rich communities, in addition to creating great content with winning teams across multiple sports,” said Arhancet. “We believe in strong and long-term brand partnerships that support these goals, and Twitch’s unrivaled network and expertise makes them the perfect partner to help us reach even more brands that share our vision.”

As Team Liquid and Twitch both continue to find success in their respective fields, the efforts to be further involved with one another can likely only lead to greater opportunities for the two.
