Fortnite X-4 Stormwing Planes Will Be Vaulted in Season 8

Season 7 of Fortnite Battle Royale brought many changes to the popular title. One of the most significant changes that were implemented in Season 7 of Fortnite was the addition of the X-4 Stormwing planes that became the first aerial vehicle to be introduced into the battle royale game. However, a large majority of the Fortnite community quickly became frustrated with the planes, as their ability to crash through structures without hurting the pilot became a major complaint towards the title. Fortunately for the players who have not been fans of the X-4 Stormwing planes in Fortnite, Epic Games has announced that the planes will be vaulted in Season 8. 

Fortnite Season 8 X-4 Stormwing Planes Vaulted

The announcement of the aerial vehicle being vaulted was made during an ask me anything session organized by Epic Games on the official subreddit for the battle royale game. Responding to a question asking if the planes would be removed in Season 8, Fortnite Design Lead Eric Williamson stated that the controversial vehicle would indeed be vaulted in Season 8.

This announcement of the plan to have the X-4 Stormwing vaulted in content period 8 of the battle royale title received a great deal of applause from the community, as the X-4 Stormwing had quickly become one of the most negative parts of the game for a large section of the community. 

Planes will be removed from Fortnite in Season 8.

With the latest newcomer to the battle royale genre in Apex Legends having stolen some of the limelight from Fortnite in the past two weeks, it looks as though Epic Games is ready to have its game take back its place as the top dog in the genre with its announcement of the X-4 Stormwing planes being vaulted in Season 8 and the historic prize pool for the 2019 World Cup.
