Mortal Kombat 11's Cetrion Confirmed As New Character
By TJ Denzer ·
It would appear that GameInformer will be showing off a deep dive of Cetrion for Mortal Kombat 11 later in April.
We’re finally in the month of April, which means Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t far away. The roster is almost complete, but we still have a few slots left to fill. Fortunately, another one of them was just filled and this time it’s a new character. It seems GameInformer gets the glory of showing off the all-new Cetrion for Mortal Kombat 11.
On April 2, 2019, GameInformer announced that they’d be handling quite a month of Mortal Kombat 11 coverage on various outlets. Developer interviews and behind the scenes features are planned, but one of the biggest things to come of it was the first mention of the latest confirmed character. We appear to be getting a blue-skinned female character named Cetrion. You can catch a glimpse of both her cinematic appearance, fighting style, and one of her fatalities in the video below.

Cetrion appears to be a gentle soul at first glance, and perhaps one in tune with nature as she lets a butterfly nestle on her finger. Of course this is Mortal Kombat so that gentleness lasts about a second before we see her using nature to pummel foes. In the glimpses of her gameplay, Cetrion appears to draw fire from the ground to ignite her foe before pelting them with large rocks from above. It seems our new fighter is going to be a bit of an elemental sorceress, which seems pretty cool to us.
We’ll have further details on Cetrion as they drop in the upcoming deep dive Game Informer is planning, but with the blue skin, one wonders if she might be related to the other unnamed Shokan who was hanging out with Shao Kahn in a recent Story Trailer.
The roster is almost filled out fully for Mortal Kombat 11 confirmed characters. Of the 25 slots, 24 characters have been 100% confirmed and Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung are DLC, meaning there’s still room for 3 regular roster reveals. Has your favorite made the list?
