Apex Legends Feels Like a Demo, According to Dr DisRespect
By Nicholas Barth ·
During a recent Twitch stream, Dr DisRespect explained why he sees the battle royale title of Apex Legends as an incomplete product.

Following its reveal and release on February 4th, Apex Legends quickly became one of the most popular video game titles in the world and was considered to be a major competitor to Fortnite when it came to the top spot in the battle royale genre. However, Apex Legends has not been seeing the same level of immense growth that it once did, as its Twitch viewership has plummeted, and community reception of the title is less than stellar currently regarding the small amount of content that developer Respawn Entertainment has added since the release of Apex Legends. The latter was a major point touched on by popular Twitch streamer Guy "Dr DIsRespect" Beahm, as Dr DisRespect explained during a recent Twitch stream that Apex Legends feels only like a demo.
With Respawn Entertainment only having added one new weapon and character to the battle royale game following its release, many players feel that the battle royale title has grown stale and that there is not enough new content to keep players coming back. This sentiment was echoed by Dr DisRespect on his Twitch stream, as the high-profile Twitch personality believes that Apex Legends should currently have much more content for players to experience.
"It's a lot of fun, but it feels like it's an incomplete product. It's almost like a demo. That's what it feels like," said Dr DisRespect. "I like the demo, but I can't play the demo for very long. I want the complete package. I want the selection of multiple maps. I want more legends. I want more stuff happening to the game. Ultimately, that's what Apex feels like. It's a demo."
While Apex Legends was able to see a tremendous amount of success in the early months of its life, Respawn Entertainment will need to bring much more content very soon if it wishes to keep its players playing and to keep up with the likes of Fortnite and its high-frequency of content updates.
