To celebrate the launch of Mortal Kombat 11, west coast hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg hosted a tournament - the aptly named "King of the Kompound." Among those in attendance were fellow rapper 21 Savage, but did either of them take home the crown?

To kick off the launch of Mortal Kombat 11, the legendary West Coast rap kingpin Snoop Dogg hosted the King of the Kompound tournament under the Gangster Gaming League banner. The event took place on April 22 via livestream showcased on Twitch and Mixer. During the tournament, Snoop faced off against special guests, including rapper 21 Savage. In the finals, Snoop Dogg, playing as Erron Black, and TikTok star Brooke Bridges, using newcomer Cetrion, battled for the title King (or Queen?). Bridges emerged victorious after an awesome set, cementing herself as the top Kombatant of the evening.

Snoop has seemingly been involved with video games forever, including an impressive showing in an early Battlefield 1 celebrity tournament and, of course, his unforgettable appearance as Crow in Def Jam: Fight for New York, where he served as a fitting final boss for the hip-hop fighting game's story mode.
