The two-time European Champion Reignover joins Cloud9's very experienced coaching staff prior to the 2019 LCS Summer Split.

Cloud9 Announce Reignover as New Addition to Coaching Staff

After years prowling and terrorizing both the LEC and LCS in the jungle, Reignover has hung up his ganking shoes and will coach one of the more prolific North American League of Legends teams in Cloud9. It's great to see that even after a dissapointing end to a rather prolific Spring Split, Cloud9 is still growing.

Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin began his playing career back in 2013 witha Korean region team named Incredible Miracle where he prowled the jungle for just over a year. Leaving Korean, Reignover would join Fnatic for two splits, before continuing his trek West where he would eventually find an Immortals team.

Coming over from the European region as an EU Champion and getting past around through three North American organizations over the course of three years would eventually take it’s toll. Come the off-season before the 2019 Spring Split, Reignover was presumably without offers.

The jungle role in North America is a heated battle, and there hasn’t been a lot of wiggle room near the bottom of the pack for a while now. This would be felt in Reignover’s camp come the end of 2018.

To start the year, Reignover was part of no organization throughout the 2019 LCS Spring Split, though there are whispers that he’s been in talks with Cloud9 for a quite some time now.

So far, there isn’t a whole lot of information on what kind of coaching role Reignover will have. According to Leaguepedia, he’s listed on the organization chart as simply a Coach, while beloved Reapered remains as the team’s Head Coach.

One thing is for sure though, with an extremely potent talent like Svenskeren sitting in your jungle seat, and the three-region knowledge and experience of Reignover in a coach’s chair, Cloud9 might come out of the 2019 Summer Split with the deadliest North American jungle.

Until then, we will have to keep our eyes on Reignover's old team, Team Liquid, as they prepare to face Invictus Gaming in the Playoff Stage of MSI 2019 mere hours from now.
