Shanghai Dragons Head Coach Steps Down
By Nicholas Barth ·
The coach of the last place Shanghai Dragons will be stepping down from his role, after a rough start to the season.

The Shanghai Dragons have not had the start to the first season of the Overwatch League that they were looking for, as the team has yet to win a match and currently sits in last place in the league. While the Dragons have shown potential to play with some of the better teams in the Overwatch League, the team has not been able to put together a complete performance. The team has added a group of new players to the roster that include the likes of Kim "Geguri" Se-Yeon, Lee "Fearless" Eui-Seok , Chon "Ado" Gi-Hyeon and He "Sky" Junjian, but they have yet to play a match for the team in Stage 2, and with visa issues hampering their arrival it is a possibility they will not see any action for some time. Now the Dragons have announced another major change to the team in hopes of seeing improvement for the rest of Stage 2.
Staff change: Effective immediately, Chen Congshan “U4” steps down as the head coach of Shanghai Dragons. He will formally leave the post after a transition period of one week. Current assistant coach Sun Jun Young “Kong” will act as a stand-in coach.

The organization announced on Twitter that head coach Chen "U4" Congshan will be stepping down from his position. The change will officially take affect after one week, when assistant coach Son "Kong" Jun Young will take over the head coaching role for the Shanghai Dragons.
U4 has been a controversial figure during his time with Shanghai. He was fined by the Dragons for account sharing and tampering, as he approached contracted players directly instead of through their team's management. With a new coach soon taking over, and the promise of reinforcements in the way of talented new players making their way to the team, the Shanghai dragons will be looking for these new changes to help the team improve their performance significantly.
