NICKMERCS Leaves 100 Thieves Team Suddenly
By Wyatt Fossett ·
In a tweet posted on NICKMERCS account today, the streamer and Fortnite pro shared an official statement regarding his seemingly sudden departure from 100 Thieves.
In a surprising move, famous twitch streamer and Fortnite player announced via a statement on social media that effective immediately he would no longer be part of the 100 Thieves family.
The Cleveland Cavaliers affiliate 100 Thieves has been trying to stretch out beyond League of Legends and Call of Duty for a long time now, and NICKMERCS seems to be at the forefront of their Fortnite efforts. That was, until today.

According to the tweet, Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff has moved back home to the state of Michigan.
“We’re back to business as usual today and, for me, that means continuing to work to be happy, to take care of myself and take care of those that matter the most to me and my happiness.” reads his statement.
It’s clear that Kolcheff was in a place where he wasn’t happy, and that moving back to Michigan (where he’s from) was the solution to this problem. According to sentiments shared by 100 Thieves publically, there is no bad blood between the streamer and the organization.
“This morning Nick let us know he’s decided to officially leave 100 Thieves. We respect the choice he’s made and support his decision to move back home. Thank you NICKMERCS for being an integral part of 100 Thieves in our early stages. We wish you the best in your next chapter!” reads a tweet from 100 Thieves.
Other 100 Thieves members and professional content creators and players from around the world shared heartfelt messages for Kolcheff as the news began to spread.

During his time with 100 Thieves, NICKMERCS was part of an early group of streamers, personalities, and content creators within the organization. Unfortunately, in competitive Fortnite NICKMERCS saw no success while competing under the 100T banner.
More news from NICKMERCS’ camp is expected, but what’s next for the streamer is still unknown.
