The Shanghai Dragons have announced another major change to their team, which will be seeing one of their best players leaving the country. The team announced on Twitter that Weida "Diya" Lu has left for China due to a family emergency and is not expected to be back for two weeks.

Temporary roster change: "Diya" has left for China yesterday due to family emergency. He is expected to miss the next two weeks matches. Coaching team will decide a role change according to recent scrim performances. We will spare no effort in the prepartion of incoming matches!

Shanghai has stated that the coaching team will fill the void left by Diya according to recent scrimmage performances, and that they will still be preparing with every intent to win their upcoming matches. This will be a tough task for the team, as they face one of the best teams in the league tomorrow in the Seoul Dynasty and then take on the Boston Uprising on Thursday.
This is the second major change that the Shanghai Dragons have gone through today, as the team announced earlier that their head coach Chen "U4" Congshan would be stepping down from his role.
Even with the talented Diya in the starting lineup, the Dragons have yet to win a match in the Overwatch League and are currently in last place with a 0-14 record to their name. Without the production that Diya consistently brings to the team, the Shanghai Dragons will need to rely on the rest of the roster to pick up their level of play if they wish to pick up their first win while Diya is away. If they do not, Diya could potentially come back to a team that will be sitting with a 0-18 record.
