Rick Fox, Jace Hall, & Todd Roy Launch gg Podcast – First episode? LoL

Three-time NBA champion and Echo Fox owner Rick Fox, Twin Galaxies chairman Jace Hall, and producer Todd Roy have plenty to say when it comes to gaming and esports. To that end, they’ve launched the gg Podcast dedicated to talking about the latest in gaming culture, industry, and community - It's all about the players, the love of the game, and insights into the communities that make it all happen. After some formal introduction into their histories and origins in gaming, the trio dives right into a topic near and dear - League of Legends.

The first episode can be heard below.

The debut of gg Podcast launched on May 29, 2019 on PodcastOne, a network of which has featured a number of shows by major names, including Shaquille O’Neal, Adam Carolla, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Though much of this episode sets the stage for future episodes, Rick, Jace, and Todd also jump into Rick’s pedigree in LoL, and specifically his accolade as one of the worst ranked players in North American Solo queue, as reported by Upcomer. As the owner of a prominent League of Legends team, Rick Fox has put renewed interest into playing the game. Unfortunately, the starting path has been somewhat rocky. The trio discusses Rick’s recent effort to climb out of the bottom ranks of League of Legends and promises to leave updates about Fox’s journey to not be one of the 100 worst LoL players in NA.

Eventually, the elephant in the room is addressed as well. Recently, Rick Fox found himself embroiled in a controversy where it was exposed that the allegedly virulent comments of an Echo Fox shareholder forced Fox to threaten to leave the org. Rick speaks briefly, yet personally to the matter. Once public, the topic drew massive community support from the LoL community and a demand from Riot that the shareholder in question be forced out. Fox shares appreciation for the backing of friends, fans, and business partners and conveys his intention to stay with Echo Fox and fight through the situation until it reaches an acceptable conclusion.

“If you don’t pick up the fight yourself, there’s a chance that situation or that individual may go on to hurt others,” Fox explained. “I made the decision that I’m going to fight… to the last bone of marrow that I have in this situation to get this person out of Echo Fox - to get our company in a situation where it moves forward. And I’m also grateful and want to say thank you to our sponsors and investors who have not stood for this behavior and come to my support along with the community.”
