As part of the E3 2019 EA Play event, Dice and EA let the world in on a ton of upcoming content for Battlefield V.

New Battlefield V Maps and Region Revealed at E3 2019

A portion of the EA Play event live from E3 2019 was dedicated to the near future for Battlefield V, including a new map, a new region, and much more.

Chapter 4 includes a lot of content that Dice says “the players have been loving”. Tracking what gets some heavier play-time, it seems that the map and design teams are bringing more of what everyone wants to the shores of Battlefield V very shortly.

Today, Dice in partnership with EA Games revealed three of their upcoming maps live at E3 2019.

Al Sundan

By tapping into their single-player war story, the Battlefield V team is bringing a gigantic sandbox map to BFV multiplayer with Al Sundan. This North African desert map will include a coastline and large hills which play home to lush rivers and even an airbase.

Al Sundan is the first map as part of the Chapter 4 series of content coming to Battlefield V coming at the end of June 2019.

Marita

The Battle of Greece will continue as part of the Chapter 4 content pool, and takes the crazy on-foot player-versus-player gameplay and amps it up to 11. The close-quarter combat in Marita keeps the tanks and the planes out of the fight, pitting reflexes against reflexes in a multi-tier town.

The multi-level buildings in Marita complicate the “intimate infantry” battles that will take place in the Battlefield V multiplayer.

Operation Underground

The final map reveal comes with Operation Underground and an updated look at the metro station, which includes a whole stunning dance floor with a subway station and shopping center theme.

Alongside the new maps, Dice also announced that the max level cap in Battlefield V will be raised from 50 to 500. With the new huge cap, the upcoming update for Battlefield V will also include private matches. Both of these things have been asked for by fans for months.

This game update will be arriving sometime in September of this year. As for the new content and maps coming in Chapter 4 of Battlefield V, those will start rolling out when Chapter 4 lands at the end of June.

Chapter 5

EA and Dice also gave fans and attendees a sneak peek at their upcoming Chapter 5 of content which revolves around World War II and the war between America and Japan in the Pacific.

Most notably, the battle of Iwo Jima will be included in Chapter 5 and the new Theater of War. Three maps in total will be launched when Chapter 5 drops, and with it comes the iconic weaponry and vehicles from that time period.
