Riot Games Announce Line-up For Rift Rivals 'NA vs EU Classic'

We’re still a week away from the very awkwardly timed Rift Rivals tournament that pits the three best teams from North America against the three best teams from Europe. Today, however, Riot Games revealed the player line-up for one of the side events for Rift Rivals 2019, the NA vs EU classic.

Professional level competitive League of Legends has been played for years now -- the first League of Legends World Championship was held in 2011 -- and that means that there are plenty of famous faces and retired pros. This mountain of notable names makes for prime plucking when needed to fill out a classic North American roster and a classic European roster.

There isn’t much information regarding the actual match, but at least we now know who will be in the seats for both teams. Hopefully, they will give us a hilariously meme-filled best-of-five series because some of the members of these two teams are quite goofy and known for their antics.

We will be posting a full watch guide for Rift Rivals 2019 as soon as all of the details are made public. Until then, there is still plenty of action ahead of us in the North America League of Legends Championship Series before the EU representatives head over to the LCS Arena next week.
