Team Liquid Adds Saintvicious as Teamfight Tactics Player
By Wyatt Fossett ·
A familiar face rejoins Team Liquid as their resident Autochess Genre guru and competitive player.

We’re on the cusp of the inaugural competitive sprint in the Teamfight Tactics history and Team Liquid has brought a familiar League of Legends face out of retirement to represent the historic LCS and Esports brand.
Saintvicious is a very long-standing member of the North American League of Legends scene, dating all the way back to his start in the top-lane for Team SoloMid in 2011. Since then he ran the jungle for teams like Counter-Logic Gaming and Team Curse before embarking on his coaching career.
Most recently (since the summer of 2015) Brandon “Saintvicious” DiMarco has been a member of the coaching staff for teams like Team Coast, Apex Gaming, Team Dignitas, Team Liquid, and just last fall FlyQuest.
Now, as a seasoned autochess genre master, Saintvicious will take to the trails of another professional competing career, as the world looks forward to what will undoubtedly be a small but competitive Teamfight Tactics circuit.
A familiar face returns! Welcome back @LolStvicious, but this time, as a competitive Autochess and Teamfight Tactics Player #LetsGoLiquid

For those that haven’t been following Saintvicious on Twitch, he has grown into one of the most beloved experts on all things Autochess gameplay, and with the recent release of Teamfight Tactics, has quickly taken the rank of an expert.
----
What first drew him to the Autochess genre of games was their simplicity. But also the genre’s deep expression of skill and complexity at the highest level. While it was an easy game to pick up, it was a hard game to master. Not only that, the community itself drew Saintvicious to the game.
“In the Autochess community, everyone is very nice to each other and there isn’t much toxicity,” he said.
It was in part due to this very community that made Saintvicious decide to become a content creator for Autochess and be competitive in the ladder.
“It feels like people just want to enjoy the game even if they are still competitive. It’s something you don’t feel very often from MOBAS,” he explained.

You can catch Saintvicious streaming often on his Twitch channel, and expect some more news as the competitive and ranked systems get dropped into place for Teamfight Tactics.
Teamfight Tactics has only been out for a week, publicly, and it has already garnered a whole ton of adoration online in both the League of Legends community and the autochess player base. Consistently it sits at or near the top of the Twitch games charts, and it hasn’t even received it’s big competitive update yet.
Expected to land in mid-July, the Teamfight Tactics Ranked Queue is going to bring a whole lot more competition to the off-shoot game mode that has stolen the hearts of so many players worldwide.
We can’t wait to see what Esports organizations do when/if the TFT competitive universe takes off, and for Team Liquid to shore up a fan-favorite like Saintvicious this early is only going to do them good.
