Pro LoL May Not Be the Same - League of Legends Patch 9.14
By Wyatt Fossett ·
The mid-summer patch for League of Legends isn't just about tweaking some champions, it may completely rewrite the meta for those playing competitive.

With the pending arrival of League of Legends Patch 9.14, the world has been waiting to find out what the mid-summer split updates are going to look like and it seems that Riot Games has gone above and beyond to shift the pro scene in a big way.
There is a lot to go over when it comes to the changes coming in Patch 9.14, but in total, we expect to see a potentially brand new meta in the LCS, the LEC, and beyond.
Here are the official Patch Notes for League of Legends version 9.14. You can find the Teamfight Tactics Patch Notes for 9.14 HERE.
“During this patch, we're introducing certain counter mechanics to some champions' existing abilities. Our general thought is: Having natural counters to common and powerful effects in the game will help make it healthier in the long-term. And as a part of our overarching Summoner's Rift balance strategy, we want to continue encouraging diversity in lane picks and push safer and more reliable champions to a more "sharp" space like other champions are in currently.” - Riot Aether

As you can see in the notes--and there are a ton of changes coming to some rather popular champions, especially for those top-laners in circulation.
We’re still going to have to wait to see how exactly Patch Notes 9.14 will affect pro-play in the coming weeks. Patch 9.14 will launch on League of Legends on Wednesday, July 17th. However, don’t expect the professional leagues to pick up this patch right away.
What do you think is the biggest change in League of Legends Patch 9.14?
