RESULTS: H2K Make Spectacular Comeback over ROCCAT to Secure Playoffs
By Zac Cameron ·
H2K's entire season can be summed up in this one game that sees a spectacular comeback over ROCCAT to secure a playoffs spot in the EU LCS.

After a rough start to the season, H2K have managed to find the wins that count in order to secure their spot in playoffs. While ROCCAT fought well, in the end H2K’s spectacular comeback is basically a microcosm for their entire season, as they’ve finally righted their early troubles and must now prepare for the challenges of playoffs.
The match started off fairly slow, with the first major action coming in the mid lane as H2K attempted to take down ROCCAT’s mid laner. They were unable to secure the kill before reinforcements arrived to force them back, and in the ensuing chase ROCCAT was able to claim first blood. ROCCAT would take this new pressure to secure the first Dragon before both teams settled into a standard farming pattern for the time being. As the second Dragon prepared to spawn, both teams made moves to contest, leading to a team fight in the jungle that allowed H2K to score their first kill of the game.
Another team fight broke out in the top lane, as both teams collapse in support of their solo laners. H2K struck first to claim another kill, but ROCCAT fired back quickly to level out the score before both teams withdrew from the conflict. In the aftermath, ROCCAT are able to secure the first Baron of the game, giving them a massive boost to their pushing ability.
With the power of the Baron, ROCCAT start shoving the bot lane, catching out two members of H2K to add to their kill tally, before rotating to the mid lane to begin the siege. As they shove towards the mid turrets, ROCCAT are able to again catch out members of H2K, scoring yet another kill, before withdrawing for a time.
Both teams are preparing for the next Baron spawn when another team fight breaks out, though this time it is in H2K’s favour, taking down 3 members of ROCCAT at a cost of just one of their own before securing the Baron. With this power H2K advance across the map to even out the gold difference, though they are unable to crack open the defences of ROCCAT at this time.
As both teams posture in anticipation of the next Baron spawn, ROCCAT manage to catch H2K members out of position in the jungle, leading to an easy kill as they battle for vision control. The standoff that follow is long enough for all of H2K to respawn and jump back in, and the resulting team fight actually costs ROCCAT far more than it does H2K, losing three members and control of the Baron in exchange for a single kill.
With the power of the Baron buff, H2K are able to finally crack open the base of ROCCAT, taking down an inhibitor to allow minion pressure, before being forced to withdraw. As both teams prepare for a fight at the Elder Dragon, ROCCAT manage to get the jump on H2K and take down several members, giving them Dragon control and allowing them to counter attack. Striking at the base of H2K, ROCCAT manage to take down an inhibitor of their own before withdrawing, setting up for another confrontation at the Baron.
As both teams clash over control of the Baron pit, H2K manage to come out on top, taking down several members of ROCCAT before advancing on the base. With little defences remaining, H2K take down the infrastructure of the ROCCAT base, ending the game and securing their spot in playoffs.
