RESULTS: 100 Thieves Steal a First Round Bye after Taking down Echo Fox

For Echo Fox, a victory here would mean sole possession of first place, while 100 Thieves were fighting for a guaranteed top two finish. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.

100 Thieves managed to claim first blood in the bot lane as their jungler roamed down for a gank, however Echo Fox were able to fire back quickly in reply, keeping the score level. With both teams pulling back after the conflict, 100 Thieves makes the call to move in and secure the Dragon for extra power. Another repeated gank on the bot lane allows 100 Thieves to pick up another kill and take down the bot lane turret.

In preparation for the Baron spawn, 100 Thieves focus their attention on the top lane, forcing Echo Fox back and taking down the turret. Echo Fox answered with turrets in the mid and bot, before moving to establish vision around the Baron pit. 100 Thieves make the call to rush the Baron, securing the buff but costing them three deaths in reply, allowing Echo Fox to push the lanes.

With the power of the Baron buff, 100 Thieves are able to push down several turrets to claim a slight gold lead. As the buff wears off, both teams look for vision in preparation for its respawn and Echo Fox manage to catch out several members of 100 Thieves, claiming a kill and vision control of the area. Before Echo Fox can attempt the Baron, 100 Thieves return, forcing a stalemate in the mid lane as both teams look for an advantage. When Echo Fox shows in the bot lane, 100 Thieves make the call to secure the Baron, taking it down quickly and using the Ryze ultimate to warp out safely.

With the power of the Baron, 100 Thieves move to push the top lane, finding a kill as they take the second tier turret. Echo Fox manage to hold them off for the time being, and both teams look for control over the Elder Dragon area. When a team fight breaks out in the mid lane, both teams manage to claim two kills before a re-engage allows Echo Fox to claim another kill. Both teams are forced to withdraw in the end, returning to their base to heal in preparation of another fight. Echo Fox return and secure the Elder Dragon, though in the subsequent team fight 100 Thieves manage to claim two kills and move to secure the Baron.

Using this power, 100 Thieves begin to siege the base of Echo Fox, taking down the mid lane inhibitor. Unfortunately for 100T, the power of the teams is such that they cannot stay, so both teams fall into a passive style as they wait for the neutral objectives to respawn. Echo Fox secure the next Elder Dragon, escaping with the bonus power before rushing to contest 100 Thieves in the Baron pit. Baron is secured by 100T and they manage to disengage safely, avoiding any casualties.

100 Thieves return to the mid lane to take down the inhibitor while also claiming two kills. With the minion waves pushing into the base, 100 Thieves claim several kills before taking down the final defences of Echo Fox to secure a first round bye in playoffs.
