RESULTS: Splyce Set Up Match Point in Quarterfinal against ROCCAT

For Splyce, the game plan was set as they again defeated ROCCAT to set up match point in this Quarterfinal series. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.

The second match started much more slowly, as both teams were content just testing the waters against each other. A minor skirmish started in the mid lane, but aside from burning some ultimates and summoner spells, nothing was achieved by either team. Splyce attempted to force a fight in the top lane, but both teams were able to withdraw unscathed. As it looked like the dust was settling, Splyce returned to re-engage, securing first blood, though ROCCAT fired back just as quick to level out the score.

ROCCAT again focused on the top side, securing another kill and pressure in the area, though Splyce responded on the bot side, taking down the Dragon in reply. Both teams engage in the mid lane, resulting in a double kill for Splyce as they destroy the first turret of the match. Splyce continue to pressure the top side, securing the Rift Herald and taking down the second turret in mid before pushing the top lane. Splyce continue to catch out members of ROCCAT across the map, applying pressure in multiple lanes before securing the second Dragon of the match.

With both teams posturing for Baron control, Splyce make the first move, taking down two kills before securing the Baron buff. Splyce use the power of Baron to push in multiple lanes, before diving in to secure more kills as they crack open the base of ROCCAT. Splyce take down all the inhibitors of the ROCCAT base, before a final engage nets them three more kills as the game comes to an end.
