Players Can Expect to See Vending Machines in Fortnite
By Nicholas Barth ·
A new vending machine feature has been uncovered for Fortnite's popular battle royale mode.

According to a report by Fortnite Intel, a vending machine feature will be making its way into Fortnite: Battle Royale sometime in the future. The new addition to the popular battle royale title from Epic Games was discovered by Twitter user @Markenny_king when a bug occurred that disconnected the player from the game as he glided onto the map. This resulted in none of the textures loading, which placed him under the map and allowed him to see a mysterious new vending machine in the game. The front of the vending machine shows that you can recieve a mingun for paying 250 wood materials.
You can see the whole clip of @Markenny_king finding the vending machine in the video from YouTuber MrDalekJD below at the 1:10 mark.
Datamining from Fortnite Intel's report indicates that the vending machine is truly in Fortnite: Battle Royale, as they were able to locate the same exact model in the game's files.
It is unclear at the moment whether or not the vending machine will be a permanent addition to Fortnite or if it will be apart of a special limited time event that may be coming in the future. A feature of this kind that will allow players to purchase weapons will most likely be controversial to parts of the community, as it is something we have never seen before in a battle royale game and looks to go against the genre's core concept of fighting with what weapons you are able to scavenge. Until the actual mechanics of the vending machine are confirmed, players will have to wait and see if this future addition to the popular game is welcomed or discouraged.
