Fortnite Fan Theory Suggets Tilted Towers Will be Destroyed by a Comet
By Nicholas Barth ·
Fan theories often come from television shows or Movies, but now one insane theory is making its way through the Fortnite community.
When you think of fan theories, you most likely are thinking of who might be the next character to die in Game of Thrones or the identity of the season villian for a comic book show, such as Arrow or The Flash. However, one of the most popular fan theories making its way through popular culture at the moment is one that was posted to the official Fortnite: Battle Royale subreddit concering the future of the infamous Tilted Towers landing zone.
The fan theory was created by reddit users Tactical_Peperoni and GeneralErica and has recieved a massive amount of attention from the community.
"So, as we all know, Tilted Towers hasn't seen much love from the devs lately and they obviously want it to disapear. Now I noticed this today, a bright blue meteorite in the sky, going towards TT and telescopes with blue reflection in their lenses. Also, the Battle Pass is space themed and towards the end of the Battle Pass tiers, an explosion is being hinted at. A nuke emoticon, flame stripes, and a dinosaur banner symbol at the second last tier. My theory: Tilted Towers will be blown up the last day of this season and the next thing to come up will be something space-related, maybe aliens or some f**ked up shit. Also, the Fortnite map resembles Poland and Tilted Towers lies at approximately the same position on the map where Poland's Poznan is located - the place where the Morasko meteorite struck. Coincidence? I don't f**king think so!"
The comet has been in the skies of the popular battle royale title since its release, but has become much bigger as of late and has caught the eyes of many players, as they are curious to see what the developers have in store for the object rocketing through the sky.
Datamining by community member IronRectangle has revealed a game file that has confirmed the idenity of the object as a comet, which has added even more to the possibility of this fan theory being correct.
With April Fool's Day tomorrow, many are speculating that Epic Games could be planning a destructive event that sees the comet turn out to be a giant Easter egg that lands on and destroys Tilted Towers. Others point to the fact that Fortnite's Season 3 Battle Pass being space themed could be a hint to an apocalypse level event coming to destroy Tilted Towers from the outer reaches of space. However, it is also highly possible that the blue comet in the sky is nothing more than a harmless easter egg the developers added to the game.
Whatever Epic Games has in store, it now has the entire Fortnite community on high alert as they could possibly see one of the most popular areas on the map removed by being reduced to a pile of ashes.
