RESULTS: Clutch Gaming Force A Fifth Semi-final Game after Taking Down 100 Thieves
By Zac Cameron ·
The second semi-final series is reaching a boiling point as Clutch Gaming manage to even out the series by defeating 100 Thieves to force a final game.
With the pressure of match point bearing down on them, Clutch Gaming managed to rise above and secure another victory over 100 Thieves, forcing a fifth and final game. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.
Clutch Gaming make the first move of this match, securing the first Dragon of the game after pushing 100 Thieves away before they rotate to the top lane to secure first blood by diving the turret. Clutch Gaming return to the top lane for a repeated gank, picking up another kill as they look to extend their lead. As the Dragon respawns, the teams have a minor clash in the mid lane before rotating to the bot lane where 100 Thieves pick up a kill of their own. With Clutch Gaming forced back, 100 Thieves are able to secure their first Dragon of the match.
Clutch Gaming continue their pressure in the top lane as they secure the first turret of the game, before both teams clash in the bot lane. As the teams rotate to the mid lane, Clutch Gaming pick up three more kills and destroy both of the lane turrets to extend their lead.
With the pressure applied in the lanes, Clutch Gaming are able to freely secure their second Dragon, before 100 Thieves catch out and claim a kill while looking for vision around the Baron area. Clutch Gaming attempt the Baron, but when 100 Thieves come to contest both teams are drawn into a skirmish that only lowers the health of both teams without landing any kills. Clutch Gaming return to the Baron, rushing it down before securing several kills as they move to break open the base of 100 Thieves.
Clutch Gaming continue to push the lanes with the Baron buff, destroying the bot inhibitor before rushing down the nexus turrets and ultimately ending the game. Clutch Gaming have secured their second victory in a much faster game than previously seen. With the game only lasting for just over 28 minutes, Clutch Gaming managed to accrue an incredible 11k gold lead in a very short time.
