It was announced during the E3 2018 Bethesda press conference that Fallout 76 will be an entirely online multiplayer game, unlike its single player focused predecessors.

Today, Bethesda announced during its E3 2018 press conference that Fallout 76 will be an online multiplayer game, as the upcoming entry in the Fallout franchise will not be like its single player focused predecessors. Players will be able to team up with fellow Vault 76 dwellers and face the dangers of the wasteland with one another or against each other in the online survival game that is Fallout 76

It was also announced that the highly anticipated game will be releasing November 14th of 2018.

The online multiplayer gameplay of the new title will not be featuring hundreds of other players inhabiting the world, as the world of Fallout 76 is apocalyptic and will not be swarming with other players to keep with the theme of the game's universe.

It was also revealed that characters players create in the upcoming game will not be tied to only one server and that you will not lose your character and all of your progression, so suffering death in the online multiplayer world of the title will not hurt incredibly much. Base building will also be an integral part of the game's experience.

Fallout 76 will be the popular apocalyptic franchise's first foray into the world of multiplayer. With the success of survival like multiplayer only battle royale titles of Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) skyrocketing in the past year, Bethesda looks to have dedicated itself to seeing if the lawless wasteland environment of Fallout 76 can flourish with a focus on online multiplayer survival gameplay that has never been seen before in the well known Bethesda franchise.

We will update this article as more information regarding the online multiplayer world of Fallout 76 as it is made available.
