The Overwatch World Cup is coming only one month after the end of the inaugural Overwatch League season, and tickets are now being sold to three of the first four World Cup events.

With all six playoff teams decided and the matches slated to kick off in mid-July, the Overwatch League is already looking ahead to its next big event as tickets for three of the four Overwatch World Cup venues have gone on sale.

The venues for the South Korea, United States, and Thailand portions of the World Cup are now on sale, with the France portion going on sale soon. Tickets can be purchased for each event at the links above.

The Overwatch World Cup will begin with Group Stage matches on August 17 in Incheon, South Korea, before moving on to Los Angeles, California (September 7-9), Bangkok, Thailand (September 14-16), and Paris France (September 21-23). Six teams, the host country and five visiting squads, will participate, with the top two teams from each Group Stage moving on to the Overwatch World Cup Top 8 at Blizzcon in November.

The teams competing in each Group Stage event look like this:

South Korea (Venue: Studio Paradise)

  • South Korea
  • Russia
  • Japan
  • Finland
  • Chinese Taipei
  • Hong Kong

Los Angeles (Venue: Blizzard Arena Los Angeles)

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Brazil
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • Norway

Bangkok (Venue: Royal Paragon Hall)

  • Thailand
  • China
  • Australia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Denmark

Paris (Venue: Espace Grande Arche)

  • France
  • United Kingdom
  • Poland
  • Italy
  • Germany
  • The Netherlands

After what has been a resoundingly successful first full season of Overwatch League, we can only assume the Overwatch World Cup will see similar success on a world’s stage. Luckily we’ll only have to wait one short month between the end of the OWL Playoffs and the beginning of the OWWC to keep our Overwatch wheels spinning like a hamster on a wheel. Yeah, that seems like an apt analogy today...
