Two Fortnite Players Qualified For Winter Royale Finals In Both Regions
By Ford James ·
Atlantis Mitr0 and ZexRow both played in the qualifiers for both the EU and NA regions in the Fortnite Winter Royale. Guess what? They qualified for both and will be able to compete in both finals.
The Fortnite Winter Royale tournament is well underway, with the qualifiers taking place over the weekend for both Europe and North America. While most players stuck to their respective regions and just tried to qualify for one of the finals, two well known pro players though that wasn’t enough. Dmitri "Mitr0" Van de Vrie, a European pro player for Atlantis, and Anthony "ZexRow" Colandro, a North American pro player who doesn’t currently have an organisation, played in both regional qualifiers and more impressively, qualified for both finals.

During ZexRow’s stream on the first day, the esports co-ordinator at Epic Games appeared in his chat and confirmed that there’s no restrictions against playing in both qualifiers - providing they can put up with the connection issues of course. ZexRow managed to get 38 points in the NA qualifiers with four wins placing him in fourth place, along with three wins and 30 points in EU to come 73rd.
Mitr0 on the other hand came eighth in Europe with four wins and 36 points, while he managed to get 31 points in the NA qualifiers with three wins. Outstanding performances from both of them, especially considering the issues they no doubt suffered with lag. Both made it into the top 100 of their opposite region which is quite frankly an incredible feat.
Idk who this @Atlantis_Mitr0 guy thinks he is qualifying for both so it looks like I’ll have to take him out early game

ZexRow has recognised Mitr0’s achievement, tweeting out “Idk who this @Atlantis_Mitr0 guy thinks he is qualifying for both so it looks like I’ll have to take him out early game”. Could we see ZexRow hotdropping Mitr0 in both finals? It’s unlikely due to being classed as bad sportsmanship but if we see them engage one another, it’ll be a class spectacle.
