G2 Esports' Promisq Outplays Hall-of-Famer Faker

During a solo queue match on his Korean MSI-prep League of Legends account G2 substitute Promisq completely outplays SKT Faker.
With only a few days left before the start of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, all of the competing teams have arrived for comfort and set-up in the East. One of the biggest questions heading into the tournament surrounds the European representative from the LEC in G2 Esports and whether or not their star support Mikyx would be able to play due to physical injuries.
Once in Korea, players needed solo queue accounts to stay sharp and keep playing between scrims. Today, Mikyx’s potential replacement Promisq (who's Korean account name is King Abrahamsson) showed up one of the greatest League of Legends players on the planet in SK Telecom’s Faker (Hide on bush).
The G2 substitute is no stranger to making big plays, but Promisq doesn’t come to the team with a whole lot of big stage experience. Especially not international stage experience. This clip does a fine job of instilling a bit of confidence for the G2 Army around the world.
While there is no doubt that the LEC Spring Champions in G2 will have a bit of a harder time against the best teams from all over the world without a Mikyx in their bot-lane, but it’s important to remember that Promisq isn’t just some scrub they plucked out of the queue to fill the spot.
G2 Esports qualified with a bypass to the Group Stage, so they won’t be playing for a while regardless. Until then, the whole of the League of Legends fandom is excitedly awaiting the start of the Mid-Season Invitational this Wednesday.
On the other side of this magnificent display of pacing and mechanics, Faker and his LCK champion SKT have a lot to prove heading into this tournament. After being the face of the most dominant franchise this sport has ever seen, the Korean dominance on the international stage has faltered a bit in recent years.
After teammate Mata called out Faker as “not himself” in a recent interview, the team looks to reinstate their prowess over other top-tier competition during this years MSI.
