In a move to make the viewing experience for professional League of Legends fans more personal and adaptive, Riot Games has developed the 'Pro View' tool.

Riot Games Announces League of Legends 'Pro View' Tool

Today, on the League of Legends blog, Riot Games detailed a new product for fans to get more out of their competitive LoL viewing experience with Pro View. This new viewer experience is part of their new initiative -- alongside the recently announced Fan Pass and Team Pass -- to improve the connection between Esports teams and fans.

In line with the Overwatch League’s All-Access Pass, the new League of Legends Pro View will allow fans and viewers a more personalized and behind-the-scenes experience while enjoying competitive League of Legends from around the globe.

“As our sport continues to grow, it’s important that our teams and leagues share in our combined success.” Says Riot Games. “Allowing fans to directly support their favorite pros, teams, and leagues will ensure LoL Esports and League continue to thrive and contribute to our goal of becoming a true multi-generational sport.”

The service will be a one-time fee per split -- so, you will have to buy a 2019 Summer Split pass -- and will allow for some pretty awesome tools and perks.

Pro View will include:

Multiview: Watch up to four synchronized streams (POV or main event) at once during live games and VODs

Advanced Timeline: Kills, tower takedowns and other big plays are marked right on the timeline, and clicking a marker jumps to that moment in the game

Watch With Friends: Share a personalized Pro View URL to synchronize your timeline with friends.

All Pro View features will available on VODs as well as during live games

Right now, Riot Games plans to release Pro View for fans of the LEC and LCS solely, but there will most-definitely be plans for expansion in the future if it takes off.

The LEC and LCS Pro View will come in two different packages. Regional Access will grant fans access to Pro View to one of the leagues (chosen by user). All Access will grant fans access to Pro View on both the LEC and LCS league games.

“Pro View is the latest update to watch.lolesports.com and represents our commitment to the long term success of our partnered teams. Revenues from Pro View will directly support professional teams competing in our leagues around the world. It’s critical that as our sport grows, teams and players share in that success.” reads the blog post from Riot Games.

The Summer Split Pro View access will cost $14.99 (USD) and will grant fans the service until Worlds 2019 begins. All of the revenues from sales will be split between the regional leagues and teams within them to help continue growing LoL Esports.

The League of Legends Pro View will be available for purchase leading up to the 2019 Summer Split.
