Google finally unveiled its massive push into video games yesterday with Stadia, a fully streaming cloud gaming solution that, if done right, could completely change the way we play games. The service is ambitious, sure, but the announcement did not come without questions, requests, and in true Internet fashion plenty of jokes. We’ve gathered a few of the best reactions from post-Stadia Twitter right here.
A fair amount were impressed with Stadia...
This is nuts. @Google has a machine learning Style Transfer ML tool to apply art designs to game models instantly - Van Gogh to Pac-Man (!!) #GDC2019 pic.twitter.com/ntzwODkFOE

Wauw. So you can play DOOM in 4k on all platforms, with no loading times. Even on low end pc's / laptops / tablets. This is pretty intense. #stadia pic.twitter.com/EkJc7Uo7Tq

...while a LOT of people had questions...
Thus far, this is all great data about Stadia but all I care about is lag for multiplayer games. Can you be competitive in Dota 2, Fortnite, Call of Duty, etc on this platform? Gamers are competitive. Is Stadia able to maintain input speed at that standard?

Two parallel thoughts:

1) Google Stadia looks amazing, especially with the YouTube integration.
2) Up next... Conspiracy videos and white supremacists
How is YouTube going to fix its core problems before ushering in more kids?
I’m not watching, but has Google addressed how ISPs factor into Stadia?

Stadia looks very ambitious, but how much is the controller, how much is the service, what games do we get, how will ownership work, and how much does it cost to develop, publish and run games on Stadia?

A few were left wanting more from the hour-long reveal...
We all know that Google was going to bring the goods on the tech side. I need to know about licensing, multiple users, fees, ads, etc. GIMME THE REAL STUFF #GoogleGDC19

#Stadia is interesting in principal but needs far more details regarding games and performance etc. Reliability will be an issue.

#stadia look awesome. Gonna have to see the price and subscription/purchase model, available devices, game lineup, and technical quality first before I decide if it's the gaming platform of the future.
— Total (@TotalCereal) March 19, 2019
So...no pricing? No new game announcements?

Stadia sounds promising and all, but I expected something a bit more here. Guess we'll see more "this summer." #GoogleGDC19
...and of course, let's not forget the jokes!
Every corporate IT person right now.

i believe in #stadia
One thread of Tweets in particular, from the CEO of Rainway (a streaming service similar to what Google proposed yesterday) Andrew Sampson, goes into great detal as to what was missing from this event:
As the CEO of a game-streaming company, I thought I'd give my thoughts on #GoogleGDC19 and Stadia. Here's a thread.

There have been a few fantastic write-ups about Stadia since the announcement, including one over on our sister site GameDaily.Biz about some major concerns Stadia may face leading up to launch. Google threw some massive weight around yesterday with this potentially ground-breaking announcement, and the next few months will prove very interesting.
