When it comes to tackling the Vex, extra care must be taken to ensure that you get the right one, after all, it’s kind of hard to tell one murderous robot from another these days. The Ruined Mind is what Spider has in mind when he asks you to head to IO, and if you’re looking to cash in and get on Spider’s good side, this Vex Hydra is going to have to be your target.

Wanted: Ruined Mind – Aphix Conduit

The Ruined Mind is hiding out on IO, in the same region as Asher Muir, IO’s planetary vendor, has set up shop. Land at the Rupture and head towards the southeast corner of the region, where you’ll find the Aphix Conduit Lost Sector waiting. Look towards where the green arrow is pointing on the map below.

Head inside the Lost Sector and start eliminating the Vex there. The Ruined Mind is not in the first room, so don’t blow your heavy ammo or super abilities just yet. Clear the area and then proceed to the next room, where the Ruined Mind is hiding out with another cohort of Vex warriors.

When it comes to dealing with a Vex Hydra, be careful not to waste your heavy ammo of super abilities on their rotating shields. Pick your shots carefully and you’ll be able to take down this Skynet wannabe in no time. Once the Ruined Mind is eliminated, cash in your bounty from the inventory screen for the reward and clear the rest of the Lost Sector for the cache inside. There are plenty of other activities to do in this particular area of IO, so consider running a couple of Public Events, or maybe just sitting down and having a (one-sided) chat with Asher Muir.

Once the Ruined Mind is eliminated, it’s time to move onto the next target. Maybe it’s time to pay Fortifier Yann a visit?
